ALL ABOUT U8
The U8 Program is for 6 and 7 year olds who LOVE to ski! Who you have to drag off the ski hill at the end of the day because they can't get enough. They're the kids you have to remind to TURN and stop going straight down the hill as fast as they can!
In this 38+ day program, we train 2 days per week with optional xmas & spring training camps. The program is a balance of skill drills, gate training, obstacles courses, moguls, halfpipe, jumps, trees, powder - anything and everything to fulfill these little rippers' love of skiing.
CWASC follows Alpine Canada Alpin's Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model for every age group. The emphasis is on building ski skills, making friends, and creating little ski junkies who can't wait to get back on the hill.

Ages 6 & 7
38+ days on snow
At this age, athletes will have a mix of training courses, all-mountain adventures, and fun competition.
Training days
Friday 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm Sunday 9:30 to 3:30 at Winsport.
Optional Xmas & Spring Training Camps available.
3-4 RACES
Athletes will participate in 3-4 races Alberta Alpine sanctioned races and/or club events throughout the season.
Race days
Saturdays & Sundays
8:00 - 4:30
5-7 mountain days
Mountain days consist of morning gate training or skill drills + afternoon adventure time around the mountain. These days run from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm.
